Softball Sweeps Martin Methodist In Doubleheader

UAB played a doubleheader this evening against Martin Methodist College. The Blazers posted two victories, winning 4-0 and 6-3. With these two wins UAB finishes their fall season at 4-0.
Kerri Foster(2-0) was the winning pitcher for the first game recording six strikeouts. The top hitters for UAB included junior outfielder Cliffanie Engram who was two for four, junior pitcher Kelli Thompson was one for three with a double, and sophomore infielder Beth Mullins, who was also one for three with a double.
In UAB's second game, the Blazers were led by Engram, going three for four with two doubles and a triple. Thompson(2-0) picked up the win for the Blazers and recorded five strikeouts. Other top hitters for UAB included junior infielder Candice Hithe who was two for four with a double, Thompson was also two for four including a double, and sophomore outfielder Emily Scarbrough who went two for three.
