UAB's Patrick Suhrbier Loses In Semifinals of Fall Action

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. ----- UAB men's tennis player senior Patrick Suhrbier lost in the semifinals of the Steve Baras Memorial Collegiate Classic on Saturday to No. 1 seed Pablo Martinez, 6-1, 6-2.

In Flight "B", No. 1 seed UAB's Dino Mancarella defeated Daniel McGuire, 6-3, 6-0. Mancarella will face Richard Turner on Sunday. Also in Flight "B", UAB's Rusty Walker fell to Gustavo Auzola, 7-6, 6-2.

In doubles Flight "A" action, UAB's Mancarella and Walker defeated Olti Mollaymeri and Marten Tamla, 8-4 before falling to Luis Aguerrevere and Gernot Fischer, 8-6. Suhrbier and Sanzaruz Zaman lost to Raphael Bohli and James Bryce in the round of 16.
