Petrich Wins Singles Title At Seminole Invitational

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ----- UAB sophomore Thomas Petrich capped off a successful weekend by winning a pair of matches Sunday to win the "C" Division singles championship at the Seminole Invitational.
Petrich won all four of his matches in straight sets during the weekend en route to the title. He had to beat two Florida State players on the Seminoles' home courts Sunday to gain the championship.
He defeated FSU's Michael O'Shea by a 7-6, 6-3 score in Sunday's final after earlier in the day downing the Seminoles' Ryan Boyajian, 7-6, 6-3.
The tournament, which began Friday, included three singles divisions and some of the top collegiate players in the country.
