UAB Bowling Competes At Big Red Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB bowling team is back in action Thursday night with the first day of competition at the Big Red Invitational hosted by ninth-ranked Nebraska.
The host Huskers are one of seven ranked teams in the 12-team field, joining No.1 Valparaiso, No. 4 Sam Houston State, No. 5 Central Missouri, No. 8 Arkansas State, No. 11 Stephen F. Austin and No. 18 Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Bethune Cookman, Elmurst College, Florida A&M and Monmouth are also in the field as UAB competes in a loaded tournament for the second straight weekend.
The Big Red Inviational gets underway Thursday at 5:45 p.m. at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln, Neb., with five four-game Baker matches. Play continues Saturday with five traditional team matches and concludes Sunday with bracket play.
