Cross Country Continues Season At Azalea City Classic

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB cross country team continues its season this Friday with competition at the South Alabama Azalea City Classic in Mobile.
The Blazers will run in the 6K, which begins at 5:15 p.m. CT on Friday. The race will take place at the Mobile County Fairgrounds, and a detailed course map can be found at USAJaguars.com.
UAB finished sixth of 12 teams at the Belmont Opener to open the season. Sophomore Sarah Livett led UAB with a 21st-place finish after running a 18:26.28 in the 5K. Three other Blazers claimed top-30 finishes in Nashville, including newcomers Rebecca Evans and Lucy Crookes, who were making their Blazer debuts.
Other teams competing in Mobile on Friday include the University of Mobile, New Orleans, Spring Hill, Troy, Louisiana-Lafayette, ULM, West Florida, Alcorn State and Clark Atlanta. For more information on the Azalea City Classic, visit www.USAJaguars.com or click the meet information link above.
