BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB cross country team will run in its third meet of the season this weekend when the Blazers travel to the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky.
The meet will be run Saturday, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. UAB has run in the Belmont Classic and Commodore Classic — both in Nashville in their first two meets — as senior Lucy Crookes has been the team’s top individual finisher each competition.
"The Greater Louisville Classic will provide a tremendous opportunity to compete against teams from across the country,” said head cross country coach Matt Esche. “As we begin to build the UAB program into one that competes for C-USA titles, these types of meets help to define our student-athletes into expecting to compete against the best week in and week out."
"The ladies have been completing some tremendous workouts the last couple weeks and I believe that their hard work and diligence will begin to pay off this weekend."
