UAB Women's Tennis Battles Hard At No. 28 Auburn

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB's women's tennis team fell to a ranked opponent for the fourth time this season with a 4-0 loss at No. 28 Auburn on Saturday.
UAB moves to 2-4 on the season, with all of those losses coming against teams that are ranked in the national ITA rankings. Auburn improves to 9-2 overall on the year with the win.
The Blazers began the day with the tandem of Elaine Simon and Pardis Kianoush battling to a 4-3 lead against Auburn's Andie Dikosavljevic and Pleun Burgmans at the No.2 doubles court. That match was unfinished as the Tigers took wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 courts to claim the point.
The Tigers then used wins at the first, third and fifth singles courts to clinch the 4-0 win.
UAB returns home to face Lamar on Sunday at Noon CT.
