UAB Softball's Sunday Game at Charlotte Cancelled

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Due to rainy conditions projected to persist over the course of the day, the UAB softball team's Sunday rubber match at Charlotte has been cancelled and will not be made up.
With the decision, the series between UAB and Charlotte ends in a split, as the 49ers won game one, 1-0, while the Blazers took game two, 4-3, on Saturday. Sunday's cancellation marks the third of the week after the Blazers' doubleheader at Chattanooga was rained out.
The UAB softball team returns to action on Saturday, April 25, for a Conference USA series against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles at UAB Softball Field. First pitch for Saturday's doubleheader is set for 1 p.m. CT, while the Blazers' final home series of the season will conclude with a 1 p.m. CT matchup on Sunday.
