Men's, Women's Soccer Teams Earn NSCAA Academic Award

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB's men's and women's soccer programs were recognized Wednesday as recipients of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Awards for the 2014-15 academic year.
To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible.
Overall, 859 soccer teams across the country were recognized. Of that total, 208 had both their men's and women's programs honored. This award marks the third-straight year both the UAB men's and women's programs received the Team Academic Award.
It marked the third honor all-time for Mike Getman's squad and 12th overall for Harold Warren's program.

Men's and women's soccer individual season tickets are $30 and single game tickets run $5 for adults and $3 for youth (ages 6-17). All children ages five and under are admitted free to West Campus Field, and UAB students also receive free admission with a valid I.D.
