UAB Softball to Host Winter Clinics

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Head coach Marla Townsend and the UAB softball team will host two winter clinics on Saturday, Dec. 3 and Sunday, Dec. 4 at Mary Bowers Field.
The camp on Saturday will offer hitting instruction from the UAB softball coaches and players for girls ages six and up. Hitting instruction for girls ages six to 12 will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and hitting instruction for girls ages 13 and up will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The cost of the hitting camp is $50 per person.
Sunday's camp is all about defense and is for girls in 7th grade and up. Infield instruction will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. and is $40, pitching and catching instruction will be from 1:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. for $50 and outfield instruction will be from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for $40.
