“I was so proud watching all of the girls fight to the end of the qualifying rounds. All of them were in the hunt going into the last day, so having three players make the cut was unreal,” head coach Michelle Crews said. “We have only ever had one other person make the cut in previous years. The Blazers are back and will be better than ever.”
The field started with 792 girls, and was cut down to 114. Caitlin Cunningham sits in 47th place, Taylor Russell is in 74th, and Sierra Lewis rounds out the field for the Blazers in 112th place.
For Lewis this is her first time making the cut, while Cunningham has made the cut in her first appearance in this tournament. Each will bowl five additional games before the field is cut down again to the top-64 players.
Rachel Strogin was 40 pins shy of making the initial cut. She finished 145th in qualifying and will continue in the Gold Survivor Tournament.
