Men’s Tennis Falls in First Round of Conference USA Championship

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's tennis team fell, 4-0, in its first-round matchup with top-seeded Florida Atlantic in the Air Force Reserve Conference USA Championship on Friday morning in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
The Blazers went down 1-0 in doubles play before a victory by Daniel Janko and Jasper Van Kleef knotted the score at one on court three. The Owls took the final doubles point on court one to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Singles wins by Florida Atlantic on courts two, four and six clinched the victory for the Owls.
Florida Atlantic advances to take on the winner of No. 4 seed Charlotte and No. 5 seed Rice at noon on Wednesday.
