No. 21 UAB Finishes Fourth at MEAC Championship

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB bowling team finished fourth at the MEAC Championship in Chesapeake, Va. The Blazers played in two mega matches that consisted of one traditional game and a total pinfall baker match.

UAB faced North Carolina A&T in its first mega match of the day. The Aggies won the traditional match (916-740) and the baker match (1030-783). Individually, Katie Hurley led the way with a total pinfall of 176 and Elise London finished with 154.

The Blazers met Delaware State in the elimination bracket but fell short 2-0. Jamie Krasnigor finished with a total pinfall of 211 and Haley Kvarnberg was second on the team with 191.

The selection show for the NCAA Women's Bowling National Championship will be Wednesday, March 31 at 4 p.m., streaming live on NCAA.com. The championship will be held April 7-10 in Kansas City, Mo.
