LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – UAB Women's Soccer (6-7-5, 2-2-4) lost in the quarterfinals of the AAC Women's Soccer Championship, 2-1, to No. 9 Memphis (16-1-0, 9-0-0).

Jolie St Louis got the scoring started early, adding her fifth goal of the season in the 8th minute with an assist by Carlyn Presley on a counter attack to give UAB a 1-0 lead. St Louis has scored a goal in three-straight matches for the Blazers.

UAB carried its 1-0 lead into halftime behind the stellar performance of Anika Toth, who saved five shots in the first half to protect the Blazer lead.

In the 48th minute, UAB had a good chance, but the Memphis goalkeeper was able to make the save. The Tigers then responded in the 61st minute with a header goal tucked into the bottom corner of the net to knot the game up at 1-1.

In the 88th minute Memphis scored the game-winning goal on a diving header from a deep cross to take a 2-1 lead.

The UAB Women's Soccer team finished their inaugural season in the AAC with a 6-7-5 record overall and a 2-3-4 conference record.
