UAB Women’s Tennis Falls to Charleston Southern 4-2

CHARLESTON, S.C. – In the first of two spring break matches, the UAB women's tennis team fell to Charleston Southern 4-2 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Blazers (7-5) starting things off by winning the doubles point. Sydney Clarke and Maggie White took Court 1 winning 7-6. On Court 3, Enya Ratkic and Vanessa Mellynchuk won 7-5.
In singles, Annalisa Smith was the only Blazer to record a victory, winning 6-3, 1-6, 6-4.
Up next, the Blazers remain in Charleston to take on the College of Charleston tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
The next home series is the upcoming weekend. UAB hosts No. 32 Florida State on March 18 (rescheduled from March 17) at 11 a.m followed by the Conference USA opener against UTSA on March 19 at noon. Both matches are at the Hoover Met.
