Blazers Place 9th at AAC Cross Country Championships

WICHITA, KS - The UAB Cross Country team traveled to Wichita on Friday to compete in the AAC Cross Country Championships. A solid field of teams saw the Blazers place 9th.
The Blazers had two top 50 overall finishers. Kyra Hayes finished 47th (22:45) and Lia Castillo finished 50th (22:48).
Kenlie Nelson placed 53rd with a time of 22:51. Right behind her was Kaitlyn Wende with a time of 22:59, finishing 58th. Anna Behmer placed 64th with a time of 23:13. On her heels was Lidia Longo placing 66th with a time of 23:14. Sangie Lincoln-Velez rounded out the scoring for UAB finishing in 80th with a time of 24:06.
The Green and Gold will finish up their Cross Country season at the NCAA South Regional hosted by Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla. The women's meet time will be announced at a later date.
