STARKVILLE - The UAB women's tennis team had an epic match against the Mississippi State on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs won the match 4-3 in a three-set thriller on court 2.
The Bulldogs won the doubles point over the Blazers, capturing wins on courts 1 and 3. However, the duo of Clarke and Wasserbauerova won 6-3 on court 2.
The Blazers continued to bring the heat in the singles matches. Mackenzie White secured the first win for the Blazers in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6(3), on court 4. Adela Wasserbauerova picked up another win on court 1, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. Annalisa Smith captured another win on court 6, 6-1, 6-7(5), 7-6(2). It came down to court 2, where Chloe Cirotte defeated Klára Kajabova 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-3 to win the match.
The Blazers travel to Tallahassee this week to face off against Florida A&M and Florida St.
