UAB Earns a 4-2 Senior Day Victory Over Western Kentucky

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's tennis team earned a 4-2 win over Western Kentucky for Senior Day at the Hoover Met Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Before the match started, UAB took time to honor its four seniors in Adela Wasserbauerova, Annalisa Smith, Maggie White and Sydney Clarke.
WKU opened the afternoon taking the doubles point on Courts 1 and 3, but the Blazers bounced back and claimed four singles wins to take the match.
Wasserbauerova, Vanessa Mellynchuk and Smith each earned straight-set victories, while Clarke had a three-set thriller to clinch the match for UAB.
The Blazers hit the road to Memphis to take on two AAC opponents in Memphis on Friday, March 29 at 3 p.m., followed by Wichita State on March 30 at 1 p.m.
