UAB Defeats Temple 4-2 in the First Round of AAC Championships

DALLAS, Texas – The UAB women's tennis team defeated Temple 4-2 in the first round of the AAC Championships on Wednesday afternoon.
The Blazers won a nail bitter doubles point with the last two matches going into tiebreakers. Klara Kajabova and Maggie White clinched the point for UAB.
Kajabova earned a 6-4, 6-0 win on Court 2 to claim the first singles point. Annalisa Smith won the second singles point for the Blazers with a dominate 6-4, 6-0 victory.
Adela Wasserbauerova came from behind to win a three-set match on Court 1 to clinch the match for UAB.
UAB advances to the second round and will take on No. 6 seed Florida Atlantic on Thursday, April 18 at 6 p.m. CT.
