UAB Bowling Finishes 13th at NCAA's Largest Tournament

DELAWARE- The UAB Bowling Team kicked off the new year strong with a 13th place finish at the largest NCAA Bowling tournament of the year.
UAB started off baker play with a 2-3 record with wins against Kutztown and No.10 Maryville.
During traditional play, the Blazers went 3-2. UAB started out with a loss against number No. 3 Nebraska but went on to win the next two matches against William Smith and Norfolk State. At the end of day two, the Blazers sit in 12th.
UAB entered bracket play with a 5-5 record but lost to No.13 Louisiana Tech and Wright State University. The Blazers ended bracket play with a win against Niagara, finishing in 13th place out of 39 teams.
Madison Colston finished in 8th place in overall total pinfall with an average of 222.40. This placed Colston on the Second Team All-Tournament for the weekend.
Northeast Classic record: 6-7
Overall Record: 32-26
UP NEXT
The UAB Bowling team heads to Maryville, Mo, to compete at the Saints Invitational hosted by Maryville University. The tournament will be January 31-Feb 2.
