Men's Tennis Picks Up 5-2 Win at Southern Miss

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Blazers picked up their first win of the season on Saturday afternoon against Southern Miss, downing the Golden Eagles by a score of 5-2. The win marks UAB's first victory under new head coach Matt Coomer.
UAB took the doubles point with wins on Court One and a dominant 6-0 win on Court Two.
DOUBLES
Juan Pablo Valdez and Noah Malige set the tone for the Blazers with dominant wins on Court One and Court Three before freshman Hoan Mouret earned the clinching point on Court Five. Mouret and Conor Flynn each earned their first collegiate singles wins.

The Blazers travel to New Orleans to face Tulane on Wednesday, January 29.
