Blazers Place Sixth at American Conference Championships

CONCORD, N.C. - UAB Cross Country brought home a sixth place team finish on Saturday morning at the American Conference Cross Country Championship in Concord, N.C. The sixth place finish is the Blazers' best finish in the conference meet since joining the American in 2023.
Leading the way for the Green and Gold was Katie Keur who finished in 39th place with a time of 21:50. Right behind her was Sangie Lincoln-Velez who placed 40th with a time of 21:51. Lidia Longo (47th) and Kenlie Nelson (49th) held the third and fourth spots for UAB. Lia Castillo rounded out the scoring for the Blazers with a time of 22:19, placing 54th.
29th-ranked Tulane were the champions of the women's 6k race.
UAB's final meet of the Cross Country season will be on Friday, November 14 as it travels to Huntsville to compete in the NCAA South Regional Championship. Race times and meet information will be released at a later date.
