MURRAY, Ky. – UAB women's basketball (2-3) fell 91-79 on the road at Murray State (4-2) on Saturday afternoon.

Four Blazers scored in double figures with Monae' Duffy leading the team with a career-high 26 points and 12 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Eleecia Carter recorded 16 points and a season-best five rebounds, while Journey Armstead had a season-best 13 points and eight assists. Cali Smallwood tallied 13 points and added five rebounds.

The Racers also had four players score in double figures with Sharnecce Currie-Jelks leading the way with 20 points. Murray State shot 44 percent from the field and 36 percent from the 3-point range.

Game Notes

Duffy (26 points), Carter (16 points), Armstead (13 points) and Smallwood (13 points) all scored in double figures to lead the UAB offense.
Duffy registered a career-high 26 points and matched her career-best 12 rebounds to score her first double-double of the 2025-26 season.
Duffy reached 10 points in the first quarter and was 5-for-8 from the field.
Carter had a season-best five rebounds.
Armstead had a season-high 13 points and eight assists.
Duffy had 16 points in the first half to lead the Blazers.

How It Happened

The game started with both teams going back and forth with Duffy scoring six of UAB's first eight points. [8-6].
Murray State used a 12-0 run to have a 10-point lead with 2:49 remaining [22-12].
The Blazers were able to cut into the lead, but the Racers were able to score and still have a 10-point advantage to close out the first quarter [29-19].
UAB struggled from the field in the second quarter and went 6-for-19.
Murray State used an 11-1 run to have its biggest lead if the game at 23 [51-28].
The Racers led by 22 at halftime [54-32].
The Green and Gold cut into the lead in the third and were 14-for-22 from the field and 2-for-5 from behind the arc.
UAB used a 7-0 run to close out the frame and trail by 11 [74-64].
Murray State continued to score and extends its lead to earn the 12-point win [91-79].

Up next, UAB travels to Cancun, Mexico for the Cancun Challenge. The Blazers will face Southern Miss on Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m. CT and TCU on Nov. 28 at 5:30 p.m. CT.
