BIRMINGHAM  – UAB women's tennis earned a 7-0 victory against Belmont on Sunday afternoon at the Hoover Met Tennis Center.

The Blazers opened the match by taking the doubles point. Vanessa Mellynchuk and Klara Kajabova secured a win on Court 1. Nera Tesankic and Enya Ratkic teamed up to take the victory on Court 2.

2. Nera Tesankic/Enya Ratkic (UAB) def Hana Sokolovic/Viktoria Kliimand (BEL) 6-2
3. Kristyna Damaskova/Maria Paz Ospina (UAB) vs. Sarah McElrath/Libbie Hamilton (BEL) 4-4, unfinished

UAB was able to capture all six singles points to secure the 7-0 win. Mellynchuk earned her sixth consecutive win and is now 6-1 on the season.
