Women’s Tennis Takes Down Western Kentucky 4-0

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – UAB women's tennis (13-6, 1-1 AAC) defeated Western Kentucky (13-7) 4-0 on Saturday morning in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The Blazers opened the match by taking the doubles point. Nera Tesankic and Kristyna Damaskova earned a victory on Court 2. Maria Paz Ospina and Enya Ratkic were able to claim a win on Court 3.

1. Sofia Blanco/Rachel Hermanova (WKU) def. Vanessa Mellynchuk/Mackenzie White (UAB) 6-3
2. Kristyna Damaskova/Nera Tesankic (UAB) def. Emily Schut/Elizabeth Sobieski (WKU) 6-1
3. Enya Ratkic/Maria Paz Ospina (UAB) def. Sunskrithi Damera/Mariana Zegada (WKU) 6-3
UAB was able to capture three of the six singles points to secure the victory. Damaskova claimed her 15th win in singles on Court 2, while Mackenzie White secured her 12th win of the season. Ratkic claimed her 11th victory on Court 5.
