Chychrun and Stant Named to CUSA All-Academic Team

BIRMINGHAM – Juniors Olivia Chychrun and Olivia Stant have earned spots on the 10-member Conference USA Beach Volleyball All-Academic Team.
This is Chychrun's second-consecutive year landing on the all-academic team and the first for Stant. Both have played an integral part in helping UAB put together its best season in program history.
Chychrun is an economics major who carries a 3.94 GPA and has compiled an overall record of 16-9 this season. She has 45 career wins and is approaching UAB's Top 10 for career wins.
Stant is a Kinesiology major and boasts a 3.90 GPA. On the court, she has put together the best single season in school history with a record of 24-5 on Court 1. She has 51 career wins and ranks seventh in career victories at UAB with an overall record of 51-31.
These two and the Blazers have an overall record of 19-10 and head to the Conference USA Tournament this coming weekend in hopes of winning the program's first conference title.
