Four Blazers Honored in American Conference Postseason Awards

BIRMINGHAM - Four Blazers were honored as part of The American Conference's Postseason Awards on Monday.
Todd Clay was voted Co-Newcomer Position Player of the Year by the league's coaches. Clay slashed .361/.473/.539 with 69 hits, 51 RBI, 34 runs scored 13 doubles, and seven home runs. He also had 103 total bases and six stolen bases. The junior from Auburn started all 53 games he played in with his lone absence coming on Senior Day.
Clay also was named to the All-Conference Second Team with Logan Braunschweig and Colin Daniel.
Braunschweig was named to the All-Conference Second Team for the second straight season. He finished his senior season with a .319 batting average, .437 on-base percentage, and had a career-high slugging percentage of .500. Seven of Braunschweig's 10 career home runs came in 2025 and had career-highs in hits (65), runs (52), RBI (31), and doubles (14). Braunschweig also led the conference with 27 stolen bases.
Preseason American Conference Pitcher of the Year Colin Daniel found himself on the All-Conference Second Team for the second consecutive year. Daniel was an anchor in the Blazers rotation as he started all 14 games this season. He finished the season with a 3.15 ERA after he finished 2024 with a 3.13 ERA. He struck out 80 and allowed just 15 walks (5.33 K/BB) in 91.1 innings. He also was named Conference Pitcher of the Week four times. Daniel posted a career-best .235 opponents' batting average and two complete games with a shutout coming against Rice on April 25 which also earned him National Pitcher of the Week honors by the College Baseball Hall of Fame.
Freshman reliever Brendan Conner was named to the All-Freshman team after his stellar 2025 season. Conner had an ERA of 3.96 in his rookie campaign and had 36 strikeouts to just 12 walks in 50.1 innings. He had 20 appearances this season and made three starts, two of which came in the month of May. Conner also led the team with six saves with his first three coming in his first three collegiate outings.
