Blazers Drop Midweek Battle at Ole Miss
3/25/2026 8:32:00 PM | Softball
OXFORD, Miss. - Blazer Softball dropped its eighth straight game, losing 11-0 in five innings at Ole Miss. After a strong opening inning from UAB starter Caroline McLendon, the Ole Miss offense broke out in the second inning, scoring five runs on two walks and four hits, including a home run, to force the Blazers to change pitchers.
The Rebels continued to work off of Caitlin Russell, also scoring five runs off the Blazers' relief pitcher. Ole Miss worked a lot of their runs around the bases with singles, scoring seven of their runs on singles or ground balls. The long ball was working for Ole Miss as well, with the Rebels hitting two in the game, including a three run-homer to cap off the scoring in the fourth inning.
Kaily Collett was the Blazers' lone base-runner, singling hard to right field and beating out the throw to avoid the 9-3 putout at first base.
The Blazers were held to just one hit for the second consecutive time and the third time overall this season.
