American Conference Announces 2026-27 Schedule Pairings

BIRMINGHAM – The American Conference released the league's schedule pairings for the 2026-27 women's basketball season.
Each school will face six conference opponents both home and away, while taking on the other six schools either at home or on the road only.
The Blazers home and away opponents include Temple, East Carolina, Memphis, Charlotte, Tulane and Wichita State. UAB will host Rice, Tulsa and North Texas during the regular season while traveling to UTSA, South Florida and Florida Atlantic.
Conference play will begin December 30, 2026, with the final conference play date ending the weekend of March 6, 2027. The conference tournament will be held in Tampa, Florida at Yuengling Center. Dates for the tournament will be announced at a later date.
The Green and Gold return three players from last season including Eleecia Carter, Mari Miller and Ashlyn Howard. Head coach Randy Norton, entering his 14th season at the helm, signed seven transfers in Hailey Jackson, Viktoria Ranisavljevic, Serena Heeren, Peyton Bradley, Terryauna Griffin, Ashley Garner and Emilia Dannebauer. Bella Harmon and Nya Burns join the squad as freshman.
