Blazers Tabbed Third in MEAC Preseason Poll

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB bowling team has been picked to finish third in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Preseason Poll ahead of the 2026-27 season, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The Blazers earned 66 points in the preseason poll after finishing third at the 2026 MEAC Tournament. UAB returns six bowlers from last season, including Amber Longwell, Anella Tillman, Regina Moreno, Jordan Wingerter, Jenna Webber and Alexis Meadows.
The Blazers also welcome four freshmen to the roster for the 2026-27 season in Helen Bryant, Emma Roberson, Ava Doucet and Julia Panchenko.
North Carolina A&T was selected to finish first with 88 points and 11 first-place votes, while Maryland Eastern Shore followed in second with 67 points. Delaware State was picked fourth with 62 points, followed by Morgan State with 45 points. Coppin State and Howard tied for sixth with 27 points, while Norfolk State rounded out the poll with 14 points.
