- Assistant Coach/Infield Coordinator
Brandon Szink was named an Assistant Coach by Head Coach Casey Dunn ahead of the 2026 season. Szink will work primarily with the Blazer hitters and infielders.
Szink spent the previous four seasons at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio as a Volunteer Assistant Coach where he was a defensive coach and third base coach. Previously, he held roles as first base coach and bench coach. In 2024, the Batting Bishops turned 1.23 double plays per game which was the best in Division III Baseball.
Simultaneously with his time at OWU, Szink spent time as director of baseball operations and player development at Bo Jackson's Elite Sports in Columbus, specializing in infield defense and hitting instruction from 2016-20. Szink moved up to director of baseball operations and player development after working for 4 years as the assistant director of baseball operations.
Prior to his second tenure in Ohio, Szink spent one season at St. Petersburg College (FL) where he served as an assistant coach, working with the Titan infield. Prior to coaching at St. Petersburg, Szink served a brief stint in the player development department for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2020.
Szink began his coaching career in Cleveland, Ohio at ACE Baseball where he spent four years as a General Manager, Program Coordinator and Coach. During that same time, Szink was a Youth Baseball Development Instructor for the Cleveland Indians from 2013-15.
A native of Canton, Ohio, Szink is a 2013 graduate of Notre Dame (Ohio) College, where he played infield and majored in Sports Management and received a minor in both Coaching and Marketing.
