Round Two of Intercollegiate Golf Tournament Suspended

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The UAB women's golf team fought through the cool temperatures this morning at the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate Golf Tournament.
UAB turned in a first round score of 332, just 17 strokes off the leader, University of North Carolina-Greensboro who posted a score of 315. University of Arkansas Little-Rock lies in second place with a score of 320. The second round of play was suspended and postponed until Tuesday morning prior to the start of the final 18-holes.
Leading the way for UAB were junior Heather Lourie and freshman Karen Quinn who both posted scores of 82. Jenny Gleason of UNCG posted the round of the day and holds the individual lead after 18 holes. Gleason fired a one over par 73 and has a two shot lead over Maria Jose Hurtado of UALR and a three shot advantage over Jayme Langford of James Madison University.
Sophomore Christina Gushanas sits one shot behind her teammates with a score of 83, while freshman Emily Hendricks posted an 85.
