18th Ranked UAB Men's Soccer Hosts Cincinnati Sunday

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - UAB men's soccer team hosts Cincinnati in a Conference USA match Sunday at 2 p.m. at UAB's West Campus Field.

The Blazers are ranked 18th this week by both the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Soccer America magazine. UAB defeated Memphis 2-1 in overtime Wednesday night. It was the third straight overtime road win for the Blazers.

The win propelled the Blazers into second place in C-USA and dropped Memphis into third place.

Cincinnati tied C-USA leader Saint Louis, 1-1 Wednesday night. The Bearcats are 5-7-1 overall and 3-2-1 in C-USA play. Despite currently being in fifth place in the league, Cincinnati is just a half-game behind UAB.
