UAB Men's Soccer Hosts Memphis Wednesday Night

UAB will try to extend its six game win streak and stay undefeated in Conference USA play as it hosts Memphis, Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at West Campus Field.
The Blazers are 10-1 and ranked 10th in the nation. The Blazers have not lost at home in the past two seasons, going 12-0-2 in that span. UAB is also 4-0 in C-USA play. Them and Saint Louis are the only unbeatens in league play.
Memphis comes into the game with a 3-6-2 overall record and 1-3-1 in C-USA. The Tigers lost at Marquette 2-1 in their last match.
UAB ?s Flavio Monteiro was named the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals in the two weekend matches. He scored the game-winning goal as UAB defeated top-20 Furman 2-1.
The Blazers have six shutouts this season and freshman goalkeeper Clint Baumstark has a C-USA best goals against average of 0.53. Martin Rey leads UAB in scoring with seven goals and two assists.
This is the last of four straight home matches for the Blazers. They play DePaul, Saturday before hosting Saint Louis, next Wednesday, Oct. 24.
