Men's Soccer falls to Memphis 3-2

Sean Fraser scored his third goal of the match with 3:44 remaining in the contest to lift Memphis to a 3-2 win over No. 10 ranked UAB at UAB's West Campus Field.
The loss dropped the Blazers to 10-2 overall and 4-1 in Conference play. It broke a 14-game home unbeaten streak. UAB had not lost at home since the quarterfinals of the 1999 NCAA Tournament. UAB also saw its six-game win streak stopped.
Memphis is 4-6-2 and 2-3-1 in C-USA.
Fraser scored all three of his goals in the second half. The first at the 74:24 mark off a pass from Lars Thortensen. The second goal came just 43 seconds later off a pass from Dusty Brezovsky.
UAB had taken a 2-0 halftime lead off two Martin Rey goals. Rey scored in the 12th minute on a header from a Nelson Mata free kick. He scored at the 29:03 mark on a breakaway with an assist from Jarbas Carlos.
It was the first time this season the Blazers had allowed more than two goals and just the second time they have given up more than one goal. UAB has lost both times they have allowed more than one goal.
UAB plays at DePaul Saturday night in C-USA play.
