Volleyball Falls To South Florida 3-0

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - South Florida (12-6, 6-3 Conference USA) defeated UAB (7-13, 1-9 C-USA) 30-20, 30-23, 30-21 in Conference USA volleyball action this evening at Bartow Arena.
Junior middle blocker/outside hitter Allison Magner led UAB with nine kills, six digs and eight total blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Martina Shields had nine kills and eight digs and freshman setter Jessica Liptak posted 30 assists for the Blazers.
Junior outside hitter Michelle Collier led South Florida with 13 kills, seven digs and a .346 hitting percentage. Junior setter Alessandra Domingos added 33 assists for the Bulls.
UAB returns home to Bartow Arena Tuesday to take on in-state rival Troy State at 7 p.m.
