Volleyball Falls To Memphis 3-0

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis (19-8, 6-8 Conference USA) defeated UAB (10-16, 2-12 C-USA) 30-16, 30-27, 30-16 in Conference USA volleyball action at Elma Roane Field House.

Junior right side hitter Kristi Lee led UAB with 10 kills and six digs. Freshman setter Jessica Liptak added 20 assists for the Blazers.

Senior outside hitters Adrianne Edmonds and Ginger Garrett each posted 12 kills to lead Memphis. Sophomore middle hitter Shella Neba had 10 kills, hit for .500 and had three total blocks and senior setter Amie Hamilton added 37 assists and 11 digs.

UAB returns home to Bartow Arena Wednesday to take on in-state rival Jacksonville State at 7 p.m.
