Men's Soccer Ranked No. 12 in Final Ranking

The UAB men's soccer team was ranked No. 12 in the final poll released this week by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
This is the second highest final ranking ever for the Blazers. They finished the season 15-6 and advanced to the ?Sweet 16? of the NCAA Tournament.
UAB defeated Furman and South Carolina in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Clemson in double-overtime to finish the season. South Carolina finished the year ranked No. 20 and Clemson finished at No. 7. The Blazers also defeated No. 6 Saint Louis, 1-0, during the season.
The Blazers have advanced to the NCAA Tournament and been ranked in the final top 20 poll the last three years. In 1999 UAB had its highest final ranking of No. 8 after advancing to the NCAA Tournament's final eight. The Blazers finished were ranked at No. 19 at the end of last season.
