Blazers Fall To Georgia 4-2 at Bulldog Classic

ATHENS, Ga... The UAB softball team (2-6, 0-0 in Conference USA) fell to Georgia (9-6, 0-0 in Conference USA) 4-2 at the Georgia Bulldog Classic.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings of play, but UAB answered in the fourth. Cliffanie Engram singled to left center to start the inning. Kai Paul followed with a singled and Kelli Thompson delivered a single to left, scoring Engram and Paul.
Kaili Howard (6-2) earned another win, but could not go the distance, however, and Kendra Daniels (4-3) releived her teammate for the Dogs' first save of the season and the first in Daniels' career.
Kerri Foster (2-2) went the distance for the Blazers, recording five strikeouts.
UAB has earned the third seed in the tournament and will face second-seeded Marshall Sunday at 11 a.m. (ET).
