Gushanas Shoots 75 As Blazers Fall Into Tenth Place

BATON ROUGE, La. - UAB sophomore Christina Gushanas shot a 3-over par 75 for a two-day total of 151 during the second round of the LSU/Cleveland Classic in Baton Rouge. The Blazers shot 319 at the par-72, 6265-yard University Club Golf Course for a 634 total. The Blazers moved from their first round position of seventh back to 10th place.
Host LSU shot a 2-under par 286 to take the tournament lead with a 5-over par 581. Auburn sits in second, one shot back of LSU at 582, while Georgia is in third place, well back at 596.
Gushanas leads the Blazers going into the final round sitting in 18th place, tied with four other players. Three players lead the field at 1-under par 143.
Also for the Blazers, Heather Lourie (77-81/158) is tied for 36th, Emily Hendricks (80-80/160) is tied for 42nd place, Petra Hallberg (82-89/171) is in 56th place and Katie Kane (93-83/176) is in 62nd place.
The final round of the tournament will be played Sunday morning beginning at 8:00 a.m.
