CHULA VISTA, Calif. - Freshman Christina Wentworth shot an eight-over 80 on Tuesday and finished tied for 13th at the Taylor Made/Adidas Lady Aztec Fall Invitational hosted by San Diego State. UAB finished 12th out of the 13 teams in the event.
"We were disappointed that we didn't finish on a little better note," UAB head coach Kim Wilcox said. "We've made a lot of progress this fall, however, know what we need to work on for the spring and are ready to start working to get ready for February."

Wentworth's 13th place finish is her second straight top-15 and the second consecutive tournament the Macon, Ga., product has led UAB's contingent.
Host San Diego State shot a team score of 301 on Tuesday to win the tournament by 10 strokes over runner-up Sacramento State. The Hornets' Margaux Sheehan held on to her individual lead to take medalist honors with rounds of 68-75-74.
