UAB Places 10th At Cincinnati Spring Invitational

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - The UAB women's golf team finished in 10th place at the Cincinnati Spring Invitational on Saturday at The Plantation Golf Course by carding a final round score of 321 to conclude the three-round tournament at 962.
Florida Atlantic took home the tournament championship with a score of 910. Stetson placed second by tallying a 919 and Florida International rounded out the top three at 920.
Freshman Lindsay Taylor was the Blazers' top performer, placing 13th in the individual standings with a 54-hole score of 231. Taylor carded rounds of 77-74-80 over the two days.
Sophomore Carolyn Cochran and freshman Jaime Brabb tied for 39th place with identical score of 242. Junior Christina Wentworth tied for the 49th position at 248 and junior Alyson Mitchell finished in 60th place with a total of 255.
"We played okay today," said UAB head coach Kim Wilcox. "We were pretty consistent throughout the tournament, which was nice to see. We will go back and look at the things that we need to work on before the Conference USA Championships in mid-April."
UAB will be back in action at the Crimson Tide Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala. on April 4-6.
