Women's Golf To Host UAB Fall Beach Blast

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB women's golf team will play host to the UAB Fall Beach Blast Monday and Tuesday in Gulf Shores, Ala.
The tournament will be held at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club and will feature 12 participating teams.
Joining UAB in the field will be Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Belmont, Louisiana-Monroe, Marshall, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Mississippi and Tennessee Tech.
Columbia won the 2008 Beach Blast title, shooting a 597 for its two-round score.
UAB's last action this fall was Oct. 19-20 when the Blazers placed eighth at the Wendy's Invitational at Charleston, S.C.
