Blazers Tied For 10th At Lady Rebel Intercollegiate

OXFORD, Miss. - The UAB women's golf team is tied for 10th place following 18 holes on day one of the Lady Rebel Intercollegiate. The Blazers shot a 324 on Friday at the Country Club of Oxford to open the tournament.
Tulane is leading the field of 14 teams with a 12-over par 300. Southern Miss is second at 304 and host-school Ole Miss is in third with a score of 307.
A pair of sophomores led the way for UAB on day one, with Lindsay Taylor and Jaime Brabb tying for 26th overall after recording identical scores of 79.
Senior Christina Wentworth turned in a score of 81 to tie for 38th place, while fellow senior Alyson Mitchell carded an 85 to tie for 64th. Freshman Kristin Lottman rounded out the Blazers' efforts with a 96 to tie for 76th place.
The Blazers will play round two of the 54-hole tournament on Saturday, followed by the final 18 holes on Sunday.
