UAB Fall Beach Blast Tees Off Monday

GULF SHORES, Ala. -- The UAB women's golf team will host the 2010 UAB Fall Beach Blast Monday and Tuesday at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club. The tournament tees off at 8 a.m. Monday morning with the first round and will conclude Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

The Blazers welcome seven other teams to Gulf Shores: Austin Peay, Louisiana-Monroe, Marshall, Memphis, Tennessee Tech and West Florida.

Last year, UAB's Carolyn Cochran took home medalist honors with a 36-hole total of 142, while Memphis took home the team championship with a score of 595.
