Blazers Set To Host Fall Beach Blast

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB women's golf team will host the next tournament, the UAB Fall Beach Blast, in Gulf Shores, Ala. on Monday and Tuesday.
The tournament will take place at the 6,050-yard Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Juniors Jaime Ritter and Ana Martin, sophomore Caitlin Watts, and freshmen Holly Robinson and Margaret Yeh will compete for UAB for the third straight tournament.
In their first outing together this season, Ritter, Martin, Watts, Robinson, and Yeh finished 2nd as a team in the Charleston Southern Wendy's Invitational, but then finished 11th as a team in the Memphis Fall Invitational.
The tournament will include 11 teams: UAB, Southern Miss, Memphis, Austin Peay, Marshall, Belmont, Tennessee Tech, North Dakota, South Dakota, West Florida and Texas-Pan American.
The two-day, 36-hole event will begin with 18 holes on Monday and conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
