Blazers Conclude Action At Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The UAB women's golf team wrapped up action at the Administaff Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate at the Forest Hills Golf Club on Tuesday. The Blazers finished in 16th with a team score of 958 (317-322-319).
"It was a tough tournament for us," UAB head coach Kim Wilcox said. "We especially struggled in the second round, but Jaime was able to put together three solid rounds to get that top 20 finish."
Jaime Ritter was the Blazers' top performer, finishing tied for 20th with a 54-hole total of 225. Carolyn Cochran record rounds of 79-84-76 for a score of 239 and a 70th place finish. Lindsay Taylor shot a 248, while Jaime Brabb registered a 251 and Caitlin Watts finished with a 260.
Purdue took home the team title with a score of 859, Augusta State (880) and UT San Antonio (888) rounded out the top three. Augusta State's Casey Kennedy earned medalist honors after shooting rounds of 68-66-71 for a score of 205.
UAB resumes action at the UC Spring Invitational in Crystal River, Fla., March 25-27.
