Blazers Finish 16th At UC Spring Invite

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. -- The UAB women's golf team finished in 16th place at the UC Spring Invitational at the Plantation Golf Resort. The Blazers compiled a team score of 950 at the tournament.
North Texas surged on the final day to capture the team title with a score of 882. Morehead State, the previous leader, finished in second with an 895, while Florida Southern took home third at 897.
Florida Gulf Coast's Briana Carlson shot a 67 in the final round to earn medalist honors. She finished the tournament with a total of 211. North Dakota State's Amy Anderson recorded a 214 to finish second.
Jaime Ritter and Jaime Brabb each recorded 54-hole totals of 237 to tie as UAB's top performers. Carolyn Cochran was two strokes behind at 239, while Lindsay Taylor finished with a 241.
