Women's Golf Tees Up At FedEx Memphis Intercollegiate

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's golf team travels to Germantown, Tenn., to compete in the FedEx Memphis Women's Intercollegiate at the par-71, 6,150-yard Ridgeway Country Club. The two-day, 54-hole event is slated for Oct. 22-23, with the first two rounds being played on Monday, followed by the third round on Tuesday.
The tournament will consist of 12 NCAA Division I teams, two NCAA Division II teams and one junior college. Including host Memphis, joining UAB on the course will include Central Arkansas, Marshall, Missouri State, Montana, Samford, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, UAB, Louisiana-Monroe and Xavier. Drury and Lewis are the two Division II representatives and Redlands Community College rounds out the field.
Sophomore Margaret Yeh leads a starting five that includes sophomore Holly Robinson, junior Caitlin Watts, senior Jaime Ritter and redshirt senior Kristin Lottman, who is seeing her first action of the fall.
Through the Blazers' first two fall tournaments this season, Yeh has paced the squad, most recently finishing tied for 30th at the LPGA Xavier Invitational at 25-over 241 (80/84/77). UAB finished 11th as a team in the three-round tournament, hosted by Xavier, in Daytona Beach, Fla.
There will be a shotgun start for all three rounds, with rounds one and three starting at 8 a.m. CT on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. The second round will follow the conclusion of the first round on Monday.
