Caitlin Watts Tabbed Student-Athlete Of The Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Caitlin Watts, a sophomore on the women's golf team, has been named the UAB Student-Athlete of the Week.
Watts has been the Blazers' top finisher in both of the team's tournaments so far this spring. She tied for second place with a two-round total of 4-over par 148 at the South Alabama Women's Invitational and tied for 12th with a score of 11-over 155 for her two rounds at the Southern Miss Lady Eagle Invite.
Originally from LaGrange, Ga., Watts transferred to UAB from Auburn during her freshman season. She owns a 3.11 GPA in the classroom.
Watts and the women's golf team are back in action this weekend at the UC Spring Invitational hosted by Cincinnati in Crystal River, Fla. Play gets underway Friday and continues through Sunday.
